The first part of the book of Nehemiah covers the restoration of the city defenses and dealing with the economy. The second part of the book deals with restoring the spiritual life of the community. The sweeping reforms of Nehemiah must have seemed like a revolution to the people of his day. The same would probably be said if those reforms happened for us! The question is, are we ready for God to invade our lives with a holy revolution?
